About The Position
Whitestone Associates, Inc., a 100% employee-owned company and leading provider of environmental and geotechnical engineering and consulting services throughout the eastern US, is currently recruiting a Geotechnical Engineer Intern. This is an excellent opportunity for engineering students to get real-life experience in the geotechnical engineering field. These internships are paid, part-time positions with flexible hours. Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
Nice To Haves
- Ideally candidates will have taken and passed a Soils Laboratory class.
Responsibilities
- Soil laboratory testing and coordination
- Assisting with materials testing in our on-site laboratory
- Geotechnical site research
- Some field construction phase testing and inspection
- Assisting with soil boring and/or test pit investigations
