Lochner – learn more about us Your impact: Join a well-established internship program that provides hands-on exposure to roadway, drainage, and traffic engineering through a wide range of real-world projects Work within an energetic team of engineers and designers to complete challenging assignments on both interstate and local roadways throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States Benefit from hands-on mentorship and support from senior engineering staff Learn, utilize, and become proficient in the transportation industry’s main CAD programs – Microstation ORD and AutoCAD Civil 3D Participate in project site reviews with senior engineers to see firsthand how in-office designs become practical, real-world solutions Complete a summer research project focused on a transportation engineering design topic and present findings to the design team

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering or pursuing your BS in Civil Engineering
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Available to work summer of 2026

Responsibilities

  • hands-on exposure to roadway, drainage, and traffic engineering through a wide range of real-world projects
  • Work within an energetic team of engineers and designers to complete challenging assignments on both interstate and local roadways throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States
  • hands-on mentorship and support from senior engineering staff
  • Learn, utilize, and become proficient in the transportation industry’s main CAD programs – Microstation ORD and AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Participate in project site reviews with senior engineers to see firsthand how in-office designs become practical, real-world solutions
