About The Position

DI’s office in New York City is looking for highly motivated interns to join our team and assist Danish companies with their U.S. market entry and growth strategies. DI USA is currently looking for two interns who will be an integrated part of the team’s daily work in supporting the establishment and expansion of Danish business activities in the U.S. As an intern at DI’s office in New York City, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range projects related to setting up and running a business abroad. As an intern at DI USA, you will become an integrated part of a small dynamic team that advises Danish companies on establishing and expanding their business activities in the U.S. market. You will gain first-hand experience in business consulting, working on projects that involve market entry, market analysis, partner screening, recruitment, and strategic planning. This is a unique opportunity to learn and develop skills that are highly relevant for a career in consulting, international trade, and business development.

Requirements

  • A structured approach to tasks and attention to detail
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative
  • Interest in developing client-facing skills; prior experience is a plus but not required
  • Willingness to take responsibility and ability to take ownership of tasks
  • An understanding of Danish companies’ core competencies
  • Fluency in English and Danish, both written and spoken
  • Enrolled as a student at a university in business, economics, international relations, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Conducting market research, data analysis, and preparing presentations for business development and growth strategies
  • Assisting with partner analyses and stakeholder mapping to identify key U.S. collaborators
  • Supporting the planning and execution of events, workshops, and delegations that foster collaboration between U.S. stakeholders and Danish companies
  • Contributing to internal strategy projects and internal business development
  • Support with administrative work related to operational services (company administration, virtual representation, etc.)
  • Developing and executing LinkedIn content to increase awareness of DI USA and Danish solutions in the U.S. market
