We're looking for a Supply Chain Engineer Intern to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. This is a 10-12 week, full-time role that takes place over the summer term. The internship will allow students to gain hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies, better understand the supply chain industry, learn and apply technical solutions that are cutting edge and lead / contribute to challenging industry specific projects that enhance manufacturing processes and operational efficiency. As a Supply Chain Engineer Intern, you'll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to support the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven features. This role will have the opportunity to work on a summer project that will be determined at the start of the term. This could include areas such as Supply, Inventory, Demand, or Network Optimization, etc. This internship is appropriate for third / fourth year students and ideal for those who are eager to learn, curious about new technologies, and excited to apply AI to real-world business problems. You will be exposed to chatbot/smart workspace solutions, predictive analytics, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, while receiving mentorship to grow your technical and professional skills.

  • Assist in developing and testing AI/ML features for Aptean's products.
  • Support chatbot and smart workspace initiatives to improve customer experience.
  • Contribute to predictive analytics models under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Help maintain and monitor data pipelines for AI applications.
  • Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and team discussions to learn best practices.
  • Stay current with AI/ML trends and share learnings with the team.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (required).
  • Internship or academic project experience with Python, R, or Java.
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch (coursework or projects acceptable).
  • Interest in areas like chatbots, predictive analytics, or data pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of ERP software or the manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP).
