About The Position

The Emory Healthcare Administrative and Finance Internship Program is a 10-week, full-time paid internship designed for undergraduate and graduate students interested in healthcare administration. This program provides participants with a comprehensive learning experience through project-based work, exposure to hospital and clinic operations, and professional development opportunities. Interns will engage in various projects that align with their learning goals and the organization's needs, culminating in presentations to senior leadership.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate or graduate student with a graduation date later than August 2025.
• Demonstrated interest in healthcare and healthcare administration.
• Current GPA of 3.5 and above.

Responsibilities

• Conduct observation and research to identify opportunities for improvement in current practices.
• Balance, track, and organize multiple projects with varying timelines and requirements.
• Demonstrate understanding of basic financial analysis principles through project work.
• Assist the finance team in reconciling Operating Unit budget submissions.
• Analyze revenue cycle performance and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
