About The Position

Our internship program is designed for students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, as well as individuals seeking to deepen their education through immersive, professional experience in the entertainment industry. Department Description: Sony Pictures Releasing is the studio's theatrical distribution group and is responsible for the release of feature films from Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, Screen Gems, Sony Pictures Animation, Sony Pictures International Productions, and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions to cinemas around the world.

Requirements

  • Must currently be enrolled in school or university during the duration of the internship
  • Knowledge of, and passion for, the film business (including interest in international markets)
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with data (including Excel and database management)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Analyze datasets from multiple internal database systems to generate market insights.
  • Support Sales and Planning Strategy initiatives with quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Provide ongoing analytical support to the global theatrical sales team.
  • Monitor and report on global release dates and box-office performance.
  • Contribute to ad hoc research projects and presentations as needed.
