About The Position

Participate in experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a clinical or professional setting. Support the Volunteer Services Program Manager with programming for the Junior Volunteer Program that runs over the summer.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist with supporting the assigned area, gaining practical application experience, and expanding their knowledge and skills base.
• Interns will have the opportunity to observe the workplace and gain industry knowledge, while also performing job-specific tasks to assist with operations.
• Support Volunteer Services staff with Junior Volunteer Program planning, orientation, scheduling, education, on-site day-to-day management, data collection and reporting.
• Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
• The College Intern supporting the Junior Volunteer Program assists the Volunteer Services team in coordinating, supervising, and engaging teen volunteers throughout the hospital.
• Responsibilities include helping with daily program operations, orienting new junior volunteers, facilitating assignments, tracking attendance, and providing on‑site guidance to ensure a safe, positive, and meaningful experience.
• The intern helps prepare program materials, supports special events, and communicates with both volunteers and hospital staff.
