About The Position

College Intern – Junior Volunteer Program Supports the Volunteer Services team with daily coordination of teen volunteers, including check‑ins, assignments, attendance tracking, and general supervision. Assists with orientations, program materials, and special events to ensure a positive and safe experience for junior volunteers in the hospital. Participate in experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a clinical or professional setting.

Responsibilities

  • The College Intern supporting the Junior Volunteer Program assists the Volunteer Services team in coordinating, supervising, and engaging teen volunteers throughout the hospital.
  • Responsibilities include helping with daily program operations, orienting new junior volunteers, facilitating assignments, tracking attendance, and providing on‑site guidance to ensure a safe, positive, and meaningful experience.
  • The intern helps prepare program materials, supports special events, and communicates with both volunteers and hospital staff.
  • Assist with supporting the assigned area, gaining practical application experience, and expanding their knowledge and skills base.
  • Interns will have the opportunity to observe the workplace and gain industry knowledge, while also performing job-specific tasks to assist with operations.
  • Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
