Requirements
- Physics, mechanical engineering, materials science majors will be most suited for this role
- Experience working in a laboratory environment and following safety requirements
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with data processing (Excel, Matlab, Python, R, or similar)
- Citizen or permanent resident
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience related to thermal management, heat transfer, and/or fluid dynamics a plus
- Experience with G-Code a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop a familiarity with Coherent’s portfolio of thermal materials as well as thermal management techniques, test equipment, and measurement methods
- Conduct thermal testing of liquid cold plates following established procedures
- Analyze thermal test results, compare measured data to modeling predictions, and identify reasons for deviation between simulation and experiment
- Summarize data and present findings to engineering team and management
