Description Responsibilities Develop a familiarity with Coherent’s portfolio of thermal materials as well as thermal management techniques, test equipment, and measurement methods Conduct thermal testing of liquid cold plates following established procedures Analyze thermal test results, compare measured data to modeling predictions, and identify reasons for deviation between simulation and experiment Summarize data and present findings to engineering team and management Requirements Physics, mechanical engineering, materials science majors will be most suited for this role Experience working in a laboratory environment and following safety requirements Strong analytical skills and comfort with data processing (Excel, Matlab, Python, R, or similar) Prior experience related to thermal management, heat transfer, and/or fluid dynamics a plus Experience with G-Code a plus Citizen or permanent resident Benefits Practical experience in chip level thermal management for the AI datacenter industry Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of engineers in an R&D and manufacturing environment Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
