Job Description Under direct supervision, this position revises and improves text of technical documents or related materials in terms of quality, clarity, spelling, and grammar.

Requirements

  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to two (2) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Nice To Haves

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, with critical attention to detail
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Must be highly organized
  • Graphic design skills

Responsibilities

  • Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
  • Maintain records and files of work and revisions
  • Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by internal requestors
  • Develop or maintain online help documentation
  • Assist in laying out material for publication including large format printing and publication
  • Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail
  • Other duties as assigned
