BHE GT&S has an exciting summer internship opportunity for a rising Sophomore or Junior pursuing a degree in Computer Science, or Engineering within the Technical Training Department at our Delmont Area located in Delmont, PA. Qualified candidates should be a rising Junior or Senior currently enrolled in a 4 year ABET accredited Engineering Bachelor's degree program or pursuing a degree in Computer Science. Work with training team to design and implement a cutting-edge training tool that utilizes Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence technologies. This tool aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our training programs, ensuring that our workforce is well-equipped to adhere to operational procedures safely.

  • Candidate must be at least a rising Sophomore or Junior by summer 2026.
  • Candidates must have a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Digitize operational knowledge: Convert existing procedures, tasks, and step-by-step workflows; ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with operational standards.
  • Manage application: Oversee access permissions, user group structures, and content organization to ensure smooth day-to-day platform operations.
  • Train and support users: Conduct onboarding and refresher sessions for teams, provide in-the-moment support, and build confidence.
  • Conduct field visits: Capture location-specific procedures, validate content in live operational settings, and gather user feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Expand platform value: Partner with cross-functional leaders to identify additional workflows and processes that can benefit from digitization.
  • Track adoption and improvements: Monitor usage metrics, surface adoption challenges, and recommend enhancements to drive platform impact.
