About The Position

The Technical Support Intern provides entry-level technical assistance within the Tech Lounge, supporting a wide range of IT services across the department. Responsibilities include troubleshooting laptop and mobile device issues, onboarding new users, and delivering hands-on support for hardware and software needs. Additional duties involve asset management, customer engagement, and maintaining accurate records of IT resources. Employees at this level perform assignments following specific instructions and are subject to frequent review by the immediate supervisor. It offers an excellent opportunity to build foundational experience in a dynamic, customer-focused technical environment.

Requirements

  • Must be a student in high school or other educational institution or accepted into a college, university or educational institution.
  • Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school.
  • Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.

  • Working knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft O365 platform
  • Willingness to learn and apply new technology.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding of computers (both hardware and software)
  • Performs installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of employee computers (PC) and related systems.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves software and hardware failures.
  • Identify network problems when they relate to personal (desktop or laptop) computers.
  • Provides technical support and assists with project efforts.
