General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is looking for an experienced Intern - Technical Support (Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer) to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow. GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 60 years of expertise, GD-OTS designs, develops, manufactures, and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks. This is a Year-Round Internship located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE.

Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in related technical courses or be within 6 months of graduation
No prior experience needed
Completed a minimum of 2 years in an Engineering discipline, working towards a BS

Responsibilities

Support with the day-to-day activities in Supplier Performance in all aspects of Quality development.
Work with QCRI to resolve supplier issues
Issuing/managing supplier corrective actions/notifications
Assist Receiving inspection with certs/inspections
Working with suppliers to update paperwork
QMOS slides
Monthly SQ Metrics
Monthly Scorecards
Reviewing/approving supplier FAIs
Review/approve supplier request forms
Receiving authorizations for Verify invoices
Support Internal supplier meetings
Providing approved special processor lists to suppliers
Adding suppliers to our ASPL
Develop supplier audit checklists
Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study.
Assists with technical tasks and project support.
Supports equipment set up and monitors tests and experiments.
Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.
Learns technical processes and procedures.
Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.
May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.
