This is a hybrid, year-round internship. The ideal candidate would begin working part-time in April, with full-time hours beginning in May.

Requirements

• At least 1 year completed of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• An interest in data analytics and process improvement
• Self-motivation and ability to meet expectations while working independently and on teams
• Ability to learn and improve technical skills in MS Office Suite software such as Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to effectively manage assignments
• Year-round availability to work from our Fort Wayne headquarters: 15-20 hours/week during the school year and 40 hours/week during the summer
• Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship, both now and in the future

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file various tax returns and regulatory forms
• Assist with income tax information gathering and review
• Track and respond to notices from taxing authorities
• Research and document wide-ranging tax topics
• Organize and store historical tax and regulatory documents
• Learn and improve skills with Microsoft Office and finance software systems
• Perform other duties as assigned
