About The Position

We’re seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, Back-End Developer to support our team in designing, rebuilding and optimizing an existing SQL database system. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with real data, contribute to meaningful internal tools, and sharpen your full‑stack development skills. This internship is a great opportunity to strengthen your technical skills while working with experienced developers on a business-critical application.

Requirements

Enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Understanding of programming fundamentals and data structures
Interest in backend development and problem-solving

Nice To Haves

Exposure to relational database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.)
Experience with Git or other version control tools
Understanding of REST APIs
Coursework or personal projects involving backend or database development
Curiosity about cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Ability to collaborate, ask questions, and learn quickly
Minimum GPA of 3.0

Responsibilities

Assist in designing, developing, and optimizing backend services and APIs
Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models
Support backend development using Python and/or Java
Support integration with front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Help build and maintain APIs and server-side logic
Participate in debugging, testing, and code reviews
Document database structures, processes, and updates
Learn best practices in software development, security, and performance optimization
