As an Assembly & Test Automation Intern you will work with the team to problem solve and troubleshoot complex problems related to automation in the Product Delivery Center (PDC). You will work hand in hand with our automation integrators and the onsite automation support team to progress initiatives.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Engineering

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of PLCs and ladder logic, specifically Allen Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens STEP7
  • Knowledge of Robotics, specifically FANUC.
  • Knowledge of the Ignition platform
  • Project management skills to be able to drive projects to closure
  • Public speaking to be able to convey issues to management
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Responsibilities

  • Work with PLCs and Robots to troubleshoot issues on the assembly floor.
  • Make suggestions on Ignition! and HMI screens to improve operator
  • Identify root cause of issues and create actions to correct the issues.
  • Work with automation integrators to develop and deploy automation initiatives on the shop floor.
  • Report on down time and corrective actions being taken to management
