We seek students to participate in our internship/co-op program that will give you real-life opportunities to work on a variety of projects. Our Packaging Automation team leads all aspects of the electrical design, PLC and HMI program development associated with instrumentation, motor controls and equipment interfaces. Co-ops are given real-life responsibilities through involvement in various activities, initiatives, and exciting assignments with brand name clients. Packaging team co-ops will have a chance to interact with our clients at their manufacturing facilities. The projects vary in complexity and provide good exposure to a wide range of packaging controls and automation for manufacturing equipment.

Requirements

Engineering Co-Op and degree-seeking college student - preferably in Electrical Engineering (Automation-Focus)
Experience in an engineering support position preferred
Pursuing a degree in Automation, Electrical or similar engineering (Mechatronics)
Excellent computer skills, including 2D and 3D CAD
Ability to work independently
Ability to adjust to changing timelines while meeting deadlines
Excellent time management skills
Excellent interpersonal team skills

Nice To Haves

Understanding of PLCs and HMIs is very helpful

Bid packages
Bid evaluations
Drawing packages
Specifications
Prepare and maintain databases
Assist in project schedule tracking, project accounting, and project status reporting
Design packaging lines in AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit
Develop flow sheets, package and speed matrices
Work on complex, automated packaging machinery
