About The Position

Supports strategic planning initiatives led by the Corporate Strategic Management and Business Development functions. Assists in completing a variety of analyses at the corporate, divisional, or site level to include hospital, service line, and market/industry strategic planning efforts.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work or internship experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a professional setting is preferred, particularly in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the projects of the Strategic Planning and Business Development functions.
  • Completes one or more capstone project(s), to include a presentation of findings to members of the Strategic Planning team.
  • Assists department in performing business unit level analytics including, but not limited to, internal or external financial, operational and/or market data, and is able to summarize into key findings for stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the health care industry.
  • Partners with other members of the Strategic Planning team and works directly with other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works under the direction of senior staff and management and will sometimes be required to work with limited direction and supervision.
  • Communicates effectively, including verbal and written communications, and will frequently interact, directly and indirectly, with senior leaders across the healthcare system.
  • Able to learn how to utilize large industry data sources such as AHCA, Sg2, and Trilliant.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Participates in cross-functional teams and operates within different levels of the organization.
  • Requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing project and stakeholder demands.
  • Presenting to various audiences including departmental and organizational leaders.
