About The Position

The Internship opportunity is unpaid offering a fantastic opportunity for students seeking college credit or course requirements. Salary: Unpaid Schedule: Flexibility to work up to 20 hours per week. The hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM Location: Garden City, NY Reports to: Senior HR Operation Manager What drives the core purpose of this job: As an HR intern, you will assist the HR team in daily activities to ensure efficient operations within the department. This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in various HR functions while contributing to organizational goals. Measurable Objective: Enhance HR functional learning. Improve Record keeping accuracy.

Requirements

  • Some knowledge of computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments a big plus.
  • Currently pursuing degree or career in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology Business Administration or related field.
  • Must have pleasant phone manner and good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to conduct self in a professional manner.
  • College student looking for college credit!

Responsibilities

  • Support HR team in maintenance of employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with creation of Wellness newsletter.
  • Assist in organizing training sessions and workshops for employees.
  • Help with employee engagement initiatives.
  • Assist in drafting HR-related communications.
  • Assist in other areas of HR department with clerical workload and special projects as needed.
