About The Position
As a member of the Computer Vision group, the co-op will collaborate closely with optics/vision system engineers on various aspects of vision system development. This includes optics/illumination design, build, and testing, camera sensor characterization, vision algorithm development for inspection and alignment, and the creation of automated testing frameworks for vision software. The applications span from sub-micron vision alignment for semiconductor devices to detecting foreign materials and inspecting bond placement and quality. The bonding machines are multi-DOF robot mechanisms, requiring tight integration of vision hardware/software with the host controller.
Requirements
- Ability to explore new vision algorithms/strategies for proof of concept assessment using Matlab and/or other vision development environment
- Ability to implement algorithms in C++ or other object-oriented language
Responsibilities
- Explore new vision algorithms/strategies for proof of concept assessment using Matlab and/or other vision development environment
- Implement algorithms in C++ or other object-oriented language in vision application or test software
- Help to develop more tools to enhance the capability of existing automated vision software test framework
- Work with optics engineer to run optics system test for design verification and add more functionalities in optics test fixture to improve quality control
