The intern will be embedded within Medica Tech Foundry as a Software Engineering Generalist, supporting a variety of technology initiatives across Medica’s enterprise engineering ecosystem. The internship is intentionally broad and designed to expose the individual to real‑world software engineering work across multiple layers of the technology stack, which may include:

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • Coursework or experience related to: Software development fundamentals (any modern day programming language)
  • Data structures, algorithms, or systems concepts
  • Cloud computing or distributed systems concepts
  • Version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices
  • Eligibility to work in the US: Medica does not offer work visa sponsorship for this role. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application. Employment is contingent on verification of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Prior internship experience, personal projects, or coursework‑based projects are beneficial but not required

Responsibilities

  • Supporting application, platform, or infrastructure‑related engineering efforts based on team needs
  • Contributing to backend services, scripts, automation, or internal tools
  • Assisting with cloud‑based development, configuration, or environment support
  • Participating in design discussions, code reviews, testing, and technical documentation
  • Collaborating with engineers on active Tech Foundry initiatives that support business capabilities, operations, analytics, or reporting
