The Aireon Internship Program is an opportunity for students to be a part of the Aireon teams that are making groundbreaking advancements in global air traffic surveillance. As an intern, you’ll begin making an impact on real projects from day one! Come prepared to grow, develop, and learn alongside a team and the leaders of our company. The Aireon Internship program is an 11-week program that runs from May 18, 2026 to July 31, 2026. During the program, interns will have the opportunity to provide valuable support to an Aireon department on a project or important work assignment. Interns will also be provided an opportunity to engage with senior leadership and fellow interns through regular engagement activities. The Software Engineering Intern will support the Product Engineering Team in developing and refining tools to optimize internal procedures for our "Product Machine" process. The intern will learn the software development process, including Azure DevOps, the workflow from high-level requirements through testing and deployment, and the development of supporting documentation. The intern may also engage and learn in several other areas that support product development, including data analysis, prototype and mockup development, customer interactions, managing and validating all of our CI/CD Pipelines for code quality. You are curious and eager to learn. A strong desire to explore and understand technologies is crucial. You take a proactive approach. You are unafraid to engage with others and ask questions. You are resilient. You have a positive attitude toward attacking challenging problems. Software engineers with different seniority and backgrounds, and they are willing to give you a hand when needed. You will work with an extended team, including the project/program manager, scrum master, architects, and operations stakeholders, in an agile scrum environment.
