Since its launch in 2007, the Publix Summer Internship Program prepares a cohort of young professionals for a smorgasbord of opportunities in the workplace. This is achieved through relationship building, development of self-confidence, and insight into industry knowledge. The 2026 Summer program dates are May 18 th – July 24 th at our company facilities in Lakeland, FL. Over these 10 weeks, interns will work 40 hours a week participating in impactful departmental projects that connect classroom learning to real-world corporate experience. Within the department, you will have several responsibilities that may include the following:

Requirements

• must be an actively enrolled student not graduating prior to the start of the Summer Internship Program in May
• must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering and be a current junior and above (rising senior as of the program start in Summer 2026)
• basic knowledge of M365 tools, such as SharePoint, Office, Copilot and Power Platform
• basic knowledge of our core coding stack, such as C#/.NET, Python, or JavaScript/Node.js
• basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning concepts and capabilities
• basic knowledge of cloud technologies, such as Azure or AWS

Responsibilities

• assist with high level and detailed design documentation
• analyze and understand business problems to define solutions
• unit test and implement solutions
