About The Position

The Intern, Sales Operations will play an integral role in supporting Hyundai’s sales strategy, performance analytics, and field communications within our organization. A key focus of this internship will be putting together industry insights (MSRP/Drivetrain/Captive Financing analysis) and development of a competitive comparison dashboard via Tableau which will be a reporting tool that highlights competitive model level performance, internal sales results and automotive industry trends. This project will empower leadership and the field team with actionable insights to strengthen decision-making, identify growth opportunities, and enhance dealer network performance.

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree program in a related functional field
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail, organized, strong follow-up skills, self-motivated, and the ability to work effectively with and motivate people
  • Available for a full-time paid internship in June to August 2026
  • Local to Fountain Valley, CA (no relocation or housing will be offered)
  • Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the internship
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the automotive industry preferably in data analytics or sales.
  • Tableau and Database program proficiency is highly desirable.
  • Experience with SAP is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze automotive industry data, competitor performance, and market trends to populate the Industry Insights and Competitor Comparison Dashboard.
  • Assist in the design, build, and maintenance of an interactive tableau dashboard that visualizes brand and model level sales and market share.
  • Assist in data collection and reporting to ensure consistency, reliability, and timely updates for leadership and field teams.
  • Assist in tracking and analyzing regional and national sales performance, incentive programs, and operational KPIs.
  • Support monthly governance meetings by preparing reports, presentations, and performance summaries.
  • Assist in strengthening communication with our field organization by coordinating various field meetings (All-Field Calls), deck preparation, run of show, and ensuring alignment on key priorities and action items.
  • Help streamline communication and reporting processes to improve collaboration between headquarters and field teams.
  • Partner with Marketing and Incentives to align sales performance insights with marketing (leads), incentive plans, and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with Aftersales teams to ensure effective deployment of field communications
  • Present key findings and recommendations to Sales Operations leadership and regional management.
