The Human Biology Division cultivates interdisciplinary research to advance understanding of human biology and the complex problems of neoplasia and other human diseases. The division is structured to foster laboratory-based and computational research at the interface of basic, clinical and population sciences. The Holland Lab internship provides research training in neuro-oncology, with a focus on understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms driving glioblastoma. The intern will contribute to projects using genetically engineered mouse models through the RCAS/tv-a system to study tumor progression and therapeutic response. The intern will gain experience in laboratory animal handling and treatment, histological tissue processing, quantitative image analysis, and cell culture techniques. The internship will also provide experience in experimental design, data analysis, and scientific communication. This is a part time, in-person internship.
