About The Position

Research and Development Interns at Helena Products Group (HPG) assist our
Technical Development Manager team with a variety of field research initiatives
to support Helena brands, including Helena Field Day activities, working with
Marketing Services for trial branding, trial implementation, field trial visits
and data analysis. While working within the Research and Development team, our
interns gain an understanding of Helena's product development and processes in
the agriculture and professional sectors of our industry.

Requirements

• Must be currently pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in an agriculture related field such as crop science, soil science, agronomy, plant pathology, entomology, or weed science is required.
• Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.
• Organizational skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English is required.
• Successful completion of a drug test and background check is required for all positions at Helena.

Nice To Haves

• Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena.

Responsibilities

• Works on assigned projects both independently and as a team member.
• Assist R&D Personnel design and implement a strategy for a successful Helena Field Day.
• Develops protocols for product testing. This includes field plots, commercial use and cooperative testing within assigned area.
• Collects, compiles, analyzes and compares the data from the trials.
• Communicates results of testing and development to the appropriate R&D Personnel.
• Completes weekly intern challenges to gain further insight about Helena and the industry.
• Participates in weekly Research and Development team meetings
• Prepares and delivers a final project and presentation to HPG leadership.
• Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
• Reliable and regular attendance is required.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
