Requirements

Rising Junior, Senior or Graduate student pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related major.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills.
Positive attitude, team-oriented, adaptive to change, and collaborative.

Nice To Haves

Technical writing and data review in a regulated type environment preferred.
Actively involved in campus or community activities and organizations, preferably in leadership roles.

Responsibilities

Work alongside Material Scientists and Engineers, supporting laboratory activities in one or all of the following material characterization tools: thermal, mechanical, microscopy, optical, rheological, various chemistry analytical (such as HPLC, GCMS, etc.) to solve materials engineering challenges.
Support Material/Polymer Science Innovation for regulated medical products.
Perform laboratory testing using various material characterization tools.
Engage in method innovation, validation, and qualification.
Provide weekly updates outlining progress.
Identify and Qualify a new motor for Baxter’s Pump.
Support product development efforts to integrate and verify design updates and transfer new design into production.
Develop and validate test methods for determining fluid delivery accuracy.
Support the build of prototypes for feasibility studies on next generation medical devices.
