Job Description: The Microchip Systems division is looking for an intern to join the Quality Team at the Mount Holly Springs Facility. The ideal candidate would be enrolled in an Engineering or physical science discipline with intended graduation between December 2026 and May 2028. The Intern will have the opportunity to experience working cross functionally with Operations, Purchasing, and Planning. The intern’s primary project will be to work across the organization to review quarantined inventory (Material Review Board or MRB), with a goal of reducing the dollar value of the MRB by 50%.

Requirements

• Pursuing a full-time bachelor’s degree in engineering or a physical science discipline.
• Ability to work from the Mount Holly Springs, PA office for a minimum of 8 weeks during summer of 2026 (position is not remote).
• US person is required due to exposure to components and documentation regulated by ITAR
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to learn other computer applications
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to reason and influence at all levels.
• Strong communication and organization skills.
• Problem solving and analysis skills.
• Ability to work in a team setting and in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Review components in Material Review Board quarantine.
• Independently research the reasons for quarantine of materials.
• Strategically solve problems with team members within Quality and across other departments to determine follow-up actions, such as inspection of components, material trials, release of components, or disposition to scrap.
• Participate in Quality team meetings
• Support the Quality Department with various additional tasks in inspection, documentation, and/or problem solving
