About The Position

Software Mind is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA Intern to join their team. This is a structured, one-month, unpaid learning journey designed to transform a high-potential individual into a proficient Junior QA Specialist through intensive technical mentoring. The intern will be fully immersed in a professional Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a primary goal of expert knowledge transfer.

Requirements

  • Educational Background - student or recent graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Analytical Thinking - a strong ability to think logically and break down complex processes into smaller, testable components.
  • Attention to Detail - high precision and "eagle-eye" focus when observing system behavior and documenting technical issues.
  • Proactive Learner - a genuine passion for technology and a strong desire to rapidly develop skills through intensive mentoring and feedback.
  • Communication Skills - ability to clearly and effectively communicate findings and ideas within a team environment.
  • English Proficiency - at least a B2 level (written and spoken) to comfortably navigate technical documentation and collaborate with the team.
  • Foundation of Testing - a basic understanding of what software testing is and its importance in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Time Commitment - ability to be available for at least 32 hours per week to fully benefit from the training program.

Nice To Haves

  • Jira & Confluence - any prior exposure to task-tracking or documentation tools.
  • ISTQB Knowledge - familiarity with the ISTQB Foundation Level syllabus or ongoing certification efforts.
  • Problem-Solving - experience in technical support, troubleshooting, or personal coding projects.
  • Clever sense of humor :)

Responsibilities

  • Verifying System Quality - performing manual functional tests based on provided scenarios to ensure applications meet technical and business requirements.
  • Managing the Defect Lifecycle - identifying, documenting, and reporting software bugs in Jira with high precision, helping developers resolve issues faster.
  • Translating Requirements into Tests - learning to analyze system architecture and business logic to design effective test cases and documentation.
  • Ensuring Delivery Standards - preparing quality reports and status summaries that provide the team with clear insights into requirement coverage and test results.
  • Championing Agile Excellence - actively participating in Scrum ceremonies (Daily, Planning, Refinement) and adopting professional "Ways of Working" and SDLC standards.
  • Continuous Knowledge Growth - engaging in intensive technical mentoring sessions and workshops to rapidly adapt expert-level testing methodologies into daily routine.
