About The Position

The Township of Pine is seeking a motivated student or recent graduate (0-2 years' experience) in Engineering, Planning, Environmental Services, or a related field to support MS4 compliance and Public Works initiatives. Pay: $14 per hour Hours: Full-Time, Summer Season Shift: Monday - Friday; 7:00 am to 3:30pm Anticipated Start: Mid-May/June 2026 Duration: Up To 16 Weeks; Summer Seasonal; Ends By Mid-August Key Responsibilities: Conduct MS4 pond and outfall inspections in compliance with PaDEP permit requirements and document findings in Traisr software. Investigate failed outfall inspections and assist with resident education regarding environmental impacts on waterways. Perform a Township-wide road sign study and prepare recommendations for the Director of Public Works. Collaborate with Township staff, public agencies, and community members while maintaining strict confidentiality. Complete required reporting, participate in safety procedures and training, and adapt to changing assignments. Other: Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field. Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License and ability to operate Township vehicles. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn database systems (Traisr). Work Environment: This position involves both office and field work, including outdoor inspections in varying weather conditions, physical activity (standing, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and exposure to environmental elements. Requirements
