About The Position

As a Production Test Engineering Intern at North Atlantic Industries (NAI), you will support our engineering and production teams in testing and validating complex electronic systems. Your hands-on involvement helps ensure product quality and performance across our high-reliability electronics used in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. This internship provides valuable exposure to power electronics, automated test systems, and real-world engineering processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This Internship is for Summer 2026.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as either a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), and must be able to provide appropriate documentation upon hire to verify this status.
  • Please note that some positions involve sensitive customer contracts and require U.S. citizenship as a condition of employment.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Academic exposure to analog/digital electronics and circuit theory.
  • Familiarity with basic lab equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics is a plus.
  • Full-time schedules for Summer internships. (40 hour week)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with testing and verification of power supply and embedded electronic systems.
  • Support engineering staff during ESS (Environmental Stress Screening) and vibration testing.
  • Perform test data collection and documentation for product performance reports.
  • Shadow and learn from engineers performing component-level debugging and troubleshooting.
  • Help develop or update test procedures and work instructions.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to understand testing workflows and production support.
  • Gain hands-on experience with electronic measuring tools, test equipment, and diagnostic software.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
