About The Position

Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Production Finance group is seeking an intern to train as the next generation of production accounting professionals. Interns will spend up to eight weeks in a mixture of one-on-one training, virtual workshops, and experiential modules, and at the end of the session be “camera ready” to step into an accounting role on a Lionsgate film. The Lionsgate Internship Program is designed to identify, recruit, and develop a diverse group of students that will gain meaningful educational experiences, professional growth, and career opportunities. Lionsgate (NYSE: LION) is one of the world’s leading standalone, pure play, publicly traded content companies. It brings together diversified motion picture and television production and distribution businesses, a world-class portfolio of valuable brands and franchises, a talent management and production powerhouse and a more than 20,000-title film and television library, all driven by the studio’s bold and entrepreneurial culture. Lionsgate operates the largest independent motion picture company in the world. The home of such beloved franchises as John Wick, The Hunger Games, Twilight, Saw and Now You See Me, Lionsgate regularly releases 10-15 wide theatrical films each year, complemented by a slate of 40-50 multi-platform and direct-to-streaming titles. Thanks to an entrepreneurial structure, creative passion, and innovative marketing and distribution strategies, the studio is capable of not only making and extending franchises, but also delivering original successes like La La Land, Wonder, Knives Out, Monster’s Ball, Precious, Fahrenheit 9/11 and Jesus Revolution. The studio has generated nearly $15 billion in global box office and earned 335 Academy Award® nominations and 71 Oscar® wins. The Motion Picture Group Production Finance team at Lionsgate is tasked with tracking and reporting of costs on all of Lionsgate’s homegrown film product, from early stage script development, to budget planning, and on through physical production and post production of each film.  We also hire and oversee the production-side accounting personnel who work on our films every day, implementing policies and best practices to meet studio financial goals.
