Our Product Development team has internship opportunities for students that are looking for pharmaceutical industry experience in chemistry. These opportunities present a chance to be involved in the design and testing of drug products for oral and pulmonary delivery. We are looking for self-starters that will contribute to our multidisciplinary teams and aid in advancing our technologies and the drug products they yield to the market. Those who are sound in fundamental scientific knowledge and methods, can proficiently execute a wide range of techniques and processes with little supervision, demonstrate effective technical writing, and are a reliable team player are expected to be successful. The program duration is for summer 2026 with some flexibility with start dates and end dates to accommodate life and school schedules. Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing an undergraduate or advanced degree in chemistry, life or physical sciences, or an engineering discipline with at least 40 university credits
  • Promote safety and demand high quality standards for work being performed
  • Established in mathematical and scientific principles
  • Show curiosity and a solid foundation in hypothesis testing & critical thinking, chemistry & material science, and data quality & integrity
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, and be team-oriented

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of chemistry and material science fundamentals to assigned problem statements
  • Define problem statements using model-based hypotheses
  • Maintain an accurate and detailed laboratory notebook for robust data capture and reproducible experimentation details
  • Develop and execute routine work plans with guidance, including routinely running methods to analyze drug products and its components
  • Follow established workflows and systems, where applicable
  • Performs other duties as assigned
