This is a full-time, 4-6 month internship/co-op, with an anticipated start date in May 2026 Nature of work: Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to); This is a great opportunity to get hands on experience in a manufacturing environment and learn about the inner workings of how standard costs are developed and maintained. The primary focus will be reviewing current standard costs with a focus on the following: Identify outliers in relation to margin or potential data integrity issues Work closely with manufacturing engineers to ensure BOM & Routing are aligned with current production procedures Assist with developing a go forward plan to ensure BOM & Routing are maintained on a go forward basis Why is this important: Standard Cost is the foundation for ensuring a plant is running efficiently and that we are going to market with the most accurate costs to produce finished products. This helps to ensure that we aren’t pricing ourselves out of the market, and ensures that we aren’t selling finished products below cost. Success in achieving the above mentioned items will result in the potential for top line growth and margin improvements, which are key areas of focus for 2026.

Requirements

  • Analytical mindset
  • Ability to work cross functionally with Finance, Manufacturing Engineers & potentially Product Managers
  • Understanding of cost accounting and interest in Manufacturing
  • Sees the importance of data integrity, as it’s the foundation for making business decisions
  • This role is best suited for anyone currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Accounting or Finance degree, with interest in Manufacturing.
  • A great opportunity for anyone who has or is looking toward becoming a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, or Plant Financial Controller.
  • Consideration will also be given to other science-based technical programs and degrees.
