About The Position

Are you a detail‑driven accounting or finance professional who enjoys transforming data into meaningful business insights? Quaker is looking for a Costing Analyst to join our team and play a key role in ensuring accurate product costing, pricing support, and financial analysis across our operations. This position is ideal for someone who is analytical, collaborative, and eager to work cross‑functionally with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, product management, IT, and accounting teams.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of costing experience may be considered in place of an Associate's Degree.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including formulas and data analysis.
  • Understanding of cost accounting , inventory practices , and database/file structures
  • Experience with Bills of Material (BOM) and labor costing
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly explain complex concepts.
  • High attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and commitment to confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, review, and update monthly product component costs.
  • Support pricing initiatives and provide cost‑related guidance as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy of cost data for new and existing components.
  • Evaluate vendor/part relationships and identify cost drivers.
  • Understand and support inventory valuation processes, including product structures, work centers, labor requirements, and cost rollups.
  • Serve as a liaison across multiple departments on product costing matters.
  • Produce reports comparing pricing, profitability, standard vs. actual costs, and improvement opportunities.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage cost review activities.
  • Complete tasks and projects on time while communicating effectively via email and in person.
  • Maintain regular on‑site attendance and professional interaction with staff.
  • Follow all safety requirements, including PPE guidelines, when visiting production areas.
