With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners. The Procurement and Contracts team is a key partner in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects. We manage the entire lifecycle of procurement, contract administration, and grant compliance for our clients. Our work spans design, construction, and professional services, ensuring every project meets financial, regulatory, and contractual standards. We lead procurement processes, administer contracts, and oversee state and federal grant programs to guarantee compliance and timely reimbursements. The team enforces strict quality control for all documentation and supports project finance and compliance audits. We maintain robust tracking systems to monitor procurement and grant activities accurately. Our Procurement and Contracts team is seeking a part-time intern to support the Hood River–White Salmon Bridge Replacement Project. Internship is set to start within the 2026 Winter/Spring academic calendar. Relocation and housing are NOT provided for these positions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Currently enrolled in an Associate Program in Business Administration, Administrative Management, Public Administration, Legal Studies, Supply Chain or related programs
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of tasks which may be specific to a particular functional area of activity such as preparing reports, tracking and evaluating results, coordinating program developments, answering the phone, receiving messages, transmitting information, making copies, editing documents, handling routine inquires and making appointments.
  • Participates in meetings and interfaces with various teams.
  • Assists management in analyzing various data.
  • Works on special projects and provides research as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
