About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented technical intern to join our Process Engineering team for Summer 2026. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in crystal defect inspection and identification working alongside semiconductor technicians and under engineers and researchers while contributing to meaningful projects that support our team and company objectives. Main focus will be on inspecting and characterizing the starting seeds, tracing them through crystal growth and inspecting and characterizing the generational resulting products that come from that seed family. This is part of two different projects by process engineering to improve certain crystal defects. Using software such as SQL, Excel, JMP, Powerpoint and Python. Individual will be trained by Process Engineering and R&D on the software involved as part of their internship. Physically inspecting and characterizing the seeds and boules under guidance of process engineering and R&D. Analyzing crystal quality outputs electronically under guidance of process engineering and R&D. Electronically tracing and documenting seed genealogy under guidance of process engineering and R&D. Individual will present their work to management in a 15 minute presentation at the end of term
