About The Position

PFM was founded in 1975 to provide governments and public agencies with independent advice from professionals who understand their distinct financial needs and challenges. Today, our municipal advisors and consultants tackle the complex challenges faced by public sector leaders, delivering in-depth analysis and insightful perspectives to enhance operational efficiencies and support alignment with financial and fiscal goals. We bring our expertise to bear across a broad array of traditional and specialized sectors and services in every region of the country, enabling clients to focus their resources on impactful change. At PFM, Interns are valued contributors to the teams that serve our diverse client base. Our internship experience is designed to provide meaningful exposure to public finance, hands-on analytical work, and the collaborative culture that defines our firm. Many of our senior leaders began their careers as Interns, and we view this role as a vital entry point for future talent. As an Intern, you’ll support PFM’s Financial Advisory practice by contributing to client engagements, conducting research, and assisting with financial analyses that inform key decisions. Interns gain insight into the public sector, develop technical skills, and work alongside professionals who are committed to mentoring and professional development.
