About The Position

Gibbs & Cox, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leidos is seeking a Model Based Systems Engineering Intern. In this role you will be supporting the Battleship program as a member of the Model Based Systems Engineering Working Group. You will provide support to help our Navy customer with a new approach to defining requirements for ship electrical and control systems. Selected Candidate must live in commuting distance of the Washington Navy Yard. Hybrid work schedule. Primary Responsibilities: Support development of ship electrical system and ship control models using MBSE tools and methods. Works under supervision on complex projects/ assignments. Assist in translating requirements into system solutions. Participate in team working sessions Basic Qualifications.: Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field. Demonstrated collaboration and communication skills working in teams. Eligible to obtain a SECRET clearance (US Citizenship required). Preferred Qualifications: Active SECRET Clearance.
