Requirements

  • Requires sophomore, junior, or senior standing in mechanical or material science engineering program.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference given to candidates with prior mechanical or shop experience as our environment is one where people know how to build things and enjoy being involved in many different aspects of challenging projects.
  • Preference given to qualified students who have completed a prior Shop Internship at Exotic Metals.
  • CAD training may be available.

Responsibilities

  • Duties will include simple tool design, writing process instructions, technical support problem solving, and process improvements.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
  • The Mechanical Engineering Intern will work with Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers both on project work and on the production floor.
  • Projects will include working on design and production of parts for customers and optimizing different Engineering processes.
