Yazaki is looking for a motivated Summer Electrical or Mechanical Engineer to join our TPNO Honda Engineering team in Columbus Ohio. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization. This internship runs full-time from May 11, 2026 to August 14, 2026.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period.
  • Degree/experience related to the position (e.g., [Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, junior or senior preferred status.
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May 11, 2026, and August 14, 2026
  • Willingness to present material in front of a medium audience, MS office
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • any programming language & power apps/BI nice to have but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist our engineering team with many on-going vehicle wire harness and power distribution developments.
  • Sample building for testing and analysis and updating Engineering Tools.
  • Support our engineering's in their daily tasks (Wire Harness Design, Benchmarking/Teardown activities, future model vehicle architecture studies, and Yazaki product promotion.
  • Reference/sample part organization & cataloging.
  • Positive customer presentation/ tech promotion on existing long-term strategy item  and/or updated engineering tool increasing team efficiency.
  • Work closely with EDS planning and development engineers, engineering expats, sales, and program management.
