About The Position

SmartSense is a fast-growing company helping organizations reduce risk, prevent loss, and protect revenue using advanced IoT technologies and AI. We work collaboratively across teams to break down department barriers and solve real business challenges. We’re hiring a Marketing Intern who wants hands-on, real-world experience supporting content, events, messaging, and sales enablement as we bring innovative solutions to market.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) and data visualization tools.
  • Interest in B2B marketing, demand generation, and campaign strategy.
  • Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship. While this is an internship role, Digi International and its companies are not able to provide visa sponsorship for internships, or subsequent potential full-time employment. As a result, we are unable to consider visa applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with CRM or marketing automation tools.
  • Familiarity with campaign attribution and funnel analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Support the migration of technical and marketing content from one website property to another, ensuring content accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Review migrated content for grammatical clarity, brand voice alignment, and technical accuracy in collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Help organize and audit content libraries to improve usability and long-term maintainability.
  • Assist with event planning and execution, with a focus on logistics, coordination, and on-site readiness.
  • Support the refinement of field experiences, including attendee flow, on-booth messaging, and supporting materials.
  • Help ensure event messaging aligns with core positioning, product narratives, and campaign themes.
  • Assist in building and refining outbound email sequences used by the sales team to engage inbound leads.
  • Align email messaging with core messaging pillars, new product strategies, and the timing of key field events.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing stakeholders to improve message consistency and engagement effectiveness.
