Requirements

working towards a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education (course of study in operations excellent or similar focus preferred).
Willingness to function as a member of the operations team and actively participate in improvement events in a production environment for days at a time.
Capable of executing work according to trained processes and procedures.
Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
Analytical skills and research competency.
Ability to influence and communicate respectively and effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software (including Word, Outlook and Excel).
Positive, can-do attitude with good judgment in executing tasks assigned.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with video editing software preferred.

Responsibilities

Promote Safety as the number one priority of all Lucas Milhaupt employees.
Assist with developing and implementing world-class processes and procedures to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
Support Lucas team members in their daily standard work and improvement projects as needed.
Collect and analyze data to help drive Improvement, including recording processes using video.
Participate in and support lean daily management.
Participate in lean initiatives including 5S, SMED projects and kaizens.
Support productivity improvement projects in the plant and other waste reduction initiatives.
Work with the Operations team to develop and implement training on processes and equipment.
Utilize job breakdowns, troubleshooting trees, and visual work instructions to update existing training materials.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
