Requirements

  • Must be enrolled as a student at an accredited university studying toward a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Physics or similar OR an Associate’s degree in Mechanical Design Technology or similar
  • Should be mechanically inclined and have an interest in new product development, outdoor power equipment, and manufacturing
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with extracurricular engineering projects preferred
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD) experience preferred
  • Simulation software (MATLAB, Simulink, FEA, CFD) experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering staff(s) by performing basic engineering assignments in the design and development of outdoor power products This can involve participation in planning, technology research, materials engineering, functional design, prototyping, product /component testing, etc.
  • Observe and learn manufacturing capabilities to permit Design for Manufacturability (DFMA)
