Our Summer Internship Program offers hands-on experience, exposure to real-world projects, and professional development opportunities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. About the Internship: As a Viwinco Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals on projects that support lean manufacturing initiatives, process improvements, and operational efficiencies. You’ll gain valuable industry experience, participate in problem-solving activities, and present your findings to leadership at the end of the program. Location: 851 Hemlock Road, Morgantown, PA Duration: Approximately 10 weeks (May – August 2025) Compensation: $18.00 per hour Must be authorized to work in the United States and provide your own housing

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field), Business or Operations Management
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including documenting procedures, training support, and tooling purchases.
Helping design machinery layouts and equipment for optimized manufacturing methods.
Conducting time studies on various manufacturing processes.
Participating in safety, quality, and process improvement projects to meet company goals.
Maintaining necessary documentation for process improvement activities.
Assisting in creating procedures for an efficient and safe work environment.
Supporting data collection, analysis, and implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams on engineering and operational challenges.
Conducting research and providing recommendations for equipment optimization and workflow enhancements.
Participating in Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
Presenting project results and recommendations to leadership at the end of the internship.
