The Manufacturing Engineer Internship offers an exciting opportunity to jump-start your career at Stratasys! This hands-on role will immerse you in various areas of additive manufacturing, where you'll gain valuable experience working with cutting-edge technologies. The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will join our team and contribute to the development of a single printer assembly line aimed at improving the production efficiency of our 3D printers. This internship offers hands-on experience in manufacturing process design, optimization, and implementation within a high-tech environment. You’ll also get hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting systems, working with advanced equipment and learning how to solve complex challenges in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Must have completed at least two years of college (entering Junior or Senior year by Spring 2026)
Ability to independently organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to resolve technical issues while maintaining positive relationships
Creative, with a strong desire to deepen your understanding
Self-motivated, able to work effectively on projects with minimal supervision
Open to constructive feedback
Local to Minnesota or able to relocate without assistance to the Eden Prairie & Minnetonka, MN area

Nice To Haves

3D CAD education or experience (SolidWorks preferred)
3D printing experience
Preferred Major(s): Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science

Responsibilities

Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and production teams to design and develop a flexible assembly line
Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for process improvements
Assist in creating detailed work instructions, process documentation, and fixturing
Strong focus on part storage and movement to the production line
Layout design and material flow optimization
Integration of tools, fixtures, and ergonomic considerations
