Position Overview Launch your career with a paid summer internship at Salinas Valley Health, an award-winning 263-bed acute care hospital serving Monterey County. The Live Well Project Internship Program is a 10-week experiential learning opportunity designed for undergraduate students interested in healthcare, community outreach, and wellness initiatives. This program reflects our commitment to community engagement, youth education, and workforce development. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting outreach programs that promote health and wellness across our community while working alongside a collaborative and mission-driven team.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program
  • Must be available to participate in at least 8 weeks of the 10-week program
  • Submit a cover letter (1 page) that includes: A brief introduction of yourself, Your interest in working at Salinas Valley Health, Your preferred department and why it interests you

Responsibilities

  • Support community outreach initiatives, including marketing, communications, and volunteer engagement
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and participating in community events and wellness programs
  • Contribute to the promotion of health initiatives and increase awareness of available community resources
  • Support the creation and distribution of outreach and program materials
  • Assist with event preparation, logistics, and implementation
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling, maintaining program calendars, and organizing materials
  • Track and document outreach activities and program engagement efforts
