About The Position

Join Labcorp's 2026 Global Internship Program and take the first step toward a meaningful career in healthcare innovation! We're looking for motivated students to be part of a dynamic 11-week paid internship where you'll work on impactful projects and gain real-world experience, all while supporting our mission to improve health and improve lives. As a Labcorp intern, you'll be immersed in hands-on work that complements your academic background. In addition to your project work, you'll gain valuable exposure to Labcorp's global business, culture, and leadership through enterprise-wide learning experiences, leadership exposure, and visibility, including direct interaction with senior leaders. You'll also participate in an immersive, in-person intern event designed to connect you with peers and deepen your understanding of our mission.

Requirements

  • Be working toward a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non-traditional Bachelor's degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision
  • Have a genuine interest in pursuing a career as a Laboratory Technologist
  • Be able to lift and rotate up to 30 pounds regularly

Responsibilities

  • Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
  • Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
  • Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
  • Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
  • Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
  • Replenish test bench supplies as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
  • Develop, complete, and present a Process Improvement Project
