About The Position

The Lincoln Center Internship Program is a paid, in-person arts administration internship designed for NYC-based undergraduate and graduate students seeking meaningful, real-world experience in the cultural sector. This program cultivates the next generation of leaders by offering hands-on work opportunities and access to professionals across the arts and culture field. The intern will directly report to the Government Grants Senior Manager but will support both the Foundation and Government revenue lines with their work. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and interested in building a career in arts administration or philanthropy.

Requirements

  • A rising college junior or senior, or equivalent
  • Based in New York City or the Greater NYC area
  • Available to work 35 hours per week from June–August2026
  • Available Wednesday afternoons to participate in internship program workshops
  • A self-starter who also thrives in team environments
  • Passionate about arts, leadership, and community impact
  • Exemplify teamwork, organization, innovation, resilience, inclusivity, and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated interest in fundraising, philanthropy, or nonprofit work
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Clear, confident writing and communication skills
  • Comfort interacting professionally with donors and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data entry or CRM systems is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Support government giving through data cleanup, organization, and general administrative assistance
  • Assist with foundation data cleanup and entry, including maintaining accurate donor records
  • Help draft and prepare acknowledgment letters, grant reports, and proposal materials
  • Assist in running stewardship events for institutional donors, including preparation and day-of support
  • Assemble donor swag bags and assist with donor fulfillment, including mailings and ticketing
  • Provide administrative support to the broader Institutional Giving team as needed
  • Oversee one to two grant proposals from start to finish during your internship, with guidance and mentorship from the team
